In the FALL of 2020: The Africana Capstone (AFR 495) group brought new perspectives to photographs of Black life in Picturing Black Study at Davidson College & the students in Race, Religion, and Donald Trump (SOC 102) explored their personal and familial histories within deeper political contexts. In the SPRING of 2021: A class in the Dance Department (DAN 252) experimented with Activating Davidson’s Submerged Histories through an investigation of History, Memory, Performance, Place. & Classes explored storytelling through art by creating Artist's Books (ART 344) and Filmmaking (ENG 211). & In the continuous mission to reckon with the college's history of enslavement arrived (ANT 380) The Enslaved People of Beaver Dam: A Community Archeology Project.
